A narrow trade, worked narrowly
A refrigeration-only workshop working out of the Sudbury valley, in the kitchens between the river and Route 2.
Almost everything in this town that needs us is built in. It sits in a run of cabinetry that was measured around it, it shares a wall with a pantry, and it cannot simply be wheeled onto the driveway and looked at. So the whole approach is shaped by working on an appliance that cannot be moved easily: readings first, the grille off before the cabinet comes out, and the smallest intervention that actually resolves the fault.
The work is narrow on purpose. Refrigeration is a discipline of pressures, temperatures and airflow, and staying inside it means the fault library is deep rather than broad. We do not take cooking appliances, and we will say so on the phone rather than send someone to look at an oven.
There is no showroom and no counter. Everything happens in your kitchen, on your floor protection, with the appliance put back into its opening square and level before anyone leaves.

First
The model plate, and what it is doing
The plate lives inside the fresh food compartment on most built-ins, on the upper left wall. That number plus a plain description of the fault settles which platform, which sealed system and which parts ride out on the van.

Second
Readings taken at the cabinet
Compartment temperatures against the set point, evaporator and condenser behaviour, fan draw, drain path, door seal and hinge alignment. What the display claims is a data point, not a diagnosis.

Third
A number before anything is opened
Parts and labour quoted as one figure, and an honest answer about whether the repair is worth doing at all. Nothing gets dismantled on the strength of a guess.
